Let us be your guide on a private tour of the best wine regions in southern France. WineInProvence has personal connections with wineries located in several different areas of Provence including Aix-en-Provence, Cassis, Bandol, and Châteauneuf-du-pape. We are able to host private winery tours and tastings in English and can accommodate both small and large-sized groups.

A WineInProvence Château Tour offers our guests the opportunity to visit and taste at some of the top French wineries. Tours include tastings at multiple wineries, a walk through the barrel rooms and a look at the vineyards, discussion of the wine-making process, and, at certain wineries, a Q&A with the winemaker. In each of these regions, you will taste white, red, and rosé wines (with the exception of Chateauneuf-du-Pape which does not produce rosé).

Aix-en-Provence

Highlights: Dry rosé, charming Provençal countryside
Wines You Will Taste: White, Rosé, & Red
Distance From Aix-en-Provence: 10 minutes
Options: Full day or Half day. Full day can also be combined with Cassis or Bandol.

Come experience why Provence produces the best dry rosé in the world (as well as amazing whites and reds)! Dry rosé is the fastest growing product in the global wine industry so a chance to taste in the top rosé producing area in the world is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With vineyards scattered around the base of Cezanne’s famous Mount Saint Victoire, wine tasting in this region is a feast for your eyes as well as your palette. Hilary and Brian will take you to the family-owned vineyards that only locals know about and whose wines are hard to find outside of France.
You have not experienced true rosé wine until you have tasted rosé from Provence.

Bandol

Highlights: Red wine, views of the Mediterranean & hillside villages
Wines You Will Taste: White, Rosé, & Red
Distance From Aix-en-Provence: 45 minutes
Options: Full day or Half day. Full day can also be combined with Cassis or Aix-en-Provence.

Bandol is where the Romans first began planting vines 2,500 years ago! The wines produced in this region are big, full-bodied, fruity reds, and rosé coming from Bandol rivals those found around Aix-en-Provence (you will also taste white wines in Bandol). The steep hills along the coastline and vineyards that are tucked away from the roads provide for stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Highlights: Red wine, famous rocky terroir, chateau ruins
Wines You Will Taste: White & Red
Distance From Aix-en-Provence: 60 minutes
Options: Full day or Half day. Cannot be combined with other regions.

One of the most famous wine regions in the world, Châteauneuf-du-Pape has no rival when it comes to producing world class red wines (10% of the production is high-end white wine, rosé is not grown in Châteauneuf-du-Pape). Located just 20 minutes from Avignon (60 minutes from Aix-en-Provence), a wine tour of Châteauneuf-du-Pape is full of top-rated wines and rolling hills of vineyards. WineInProvence can take you into the caves and tasting rooms that most visitors are only able to drive by.

Cassis

Highlights: White wine, terraced vineyards above the seaside cliffs
Wines You Will Taste: White, Rosé, & Red
Distance From Aix-en-Provence: 45 minutes
Options: Half day only. Full day can be combined with Bandol or Aix-en-Provence.

A popular tourist destination, most visitors are surprised to learn that Cassis produces some of the best white wine in France! With fog rolling in over the terraced vineyards, this small fishing town is the gem of the French Mediterranean. A wine tour of Cassis wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the charming waterfront.
